Faszination Akkordeon
I am fascinated by the physicality of accordion playing: the performer forms an immediate unity with the instrument. All movements of the body are immediately transferred to the accordion. The air sounds correspond to human inhalation and exhalation. I am particularly fascinated by its versatility, combining the characteristics of keyboard and wind instruments. As an ideal chamber music partner, the accordion blends very well with other instruments due to its extensive overtone spectrum.
Since it is an instrument that has a relatively short history, there is still much to discover and develop. Music gives us wings to dive into fantastic worlds, to dare sonic experiments and to break the boundaries of everyday life.
I came to the accordion through the music that was often being made in my family home and subsequently discovered the enormous spectrum of styles. I now dedicate most of my time to the classical/new music genre. My focus is especially on chamber music, although I am also enthusiastic about projects with choirs, orchestras, dancers, music theater and multimedia.
